The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCS70329 is a round cross-section silicone O-ring sized to Dash 329 standards, with a 2-inch inside diameter, 2.375-inch outside diameter, and a 0.1875-inch cross-section thickness. Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, it is classified as a hard O-ring and is manufactured from silicone elastomer. It carries a wide service temperature range of -80 degrees F to 450 degrees F, making it suited for applications that demand both low-temperature flexibility and dry heat resistance. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and maintenance professionals install this O-ring as a static or dynamic sealing element in piping, fittings, valves, and mechanical assemblies.
This O-ring is appropriate for residential and commercial applications involving oils, chemicals, and solvents where silicone elastomer is an acceptable material. It performs well in environments requiring good weather and ozone resistance. It is commonly used in HVAC equipment housings, plumbing fittings, pump assemblies, and general industrial equipment where a wide thermal range is a primary design requirement. Note that this compound has limited oil resistance and is not FDA approved, so verify material suitability before use in food-service or potable-water service.
Designed as a standard Dash 329 O-ring replacement for any groove or fitting engineered to accept a 2-inch ID silicone O-ring with a 3/16-inch cross section.
Installation of O-rings should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified maintenance professional familiar with the sealing application. Always depressurize and de-energize the system and relieve any residual fluid pressure before removing or installing O-rings. Inspect the mating groove for nicks, burrs, or contamination prior to seating the O-ring. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants with silicone O-rings unless confirmed compatible with both the compound and the system fluid.
