The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCS70206 is a Dash 206 silicone O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications across HVAC, plumbing, and industrial fluid systems. It measures 0.500 inches inside diameter, 0.750 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick with a round cross section. Rated for a working temperature range of -80 degrees F to 450 degrees F, this silicone compound offers good dry heat resistance and strong weather and ozone resistance. Hardness is rated at 70 Shore A. Each order is fulfilled as a pack of 50 rings, making it practical for service trucks and shop stock alike.
This O-ring is suited for use in residential and commercial HVAC equipment, refrigeration fittings, plumbing connections, and general fluid handling assemblies where wide temperature range performance is required. It is compatible with oils, chemicals, and solvents, though oil resistance is limited compared to BUNA-N alternatives. Typical applications include face-seal fittings, valve stems, pump shafts, and service port connections where silicone compound is specified. Installers should confirm the Dash 206 designation and material spec against the original equipment requirement before installation.
Compatible with oils, chemicals, and solvents where silicone elastomer is an approved sealing material. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service stock O-ring for any application calling for a Dash 206 silicone seal. Note that oil resistance is limited; verify material suitability before use in high-oil-concentration environments.
O-ring installation is performed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical service professionals. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before removing or replacing any sealing component. Inspect the groove and mating surface for nicks or debris before seating the new ring. Avoid twisting the O-ring during installation and use a compatible assembly lubricant only if specified by the equipment manufacturer.
