The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCS70138 is a silicone O-ring with a round cross section, sized to Dash 138 specifications. It measures 2.125 inches inside diameter, 2.313 inches outside diameter, and 0.0937 inches (3/32 inches) thick. The durometer hardness is rated at 70, placing it in the hard range. Silicone compound provides wide temperature range capability, rated from -80 degrees F to 450 degrees F, along with good dry heat resistance and good weather and ozone resistance. This O-ring is installed wherever a reliable static or dynamic face seal is needed in systems involving controlled-environment air handling, plumbing, or chemical process lines. Sold in a pack of 10.
This O-ring is suited for applications requiring wide temperature tolerance, including HVAC equipment housings, plumbing fittings, pump assemblies, and light chemical service. The silicone material handles ozone and weather exposure well, making it a practical choice for both indoor and outdoor installations. Note that oil resistance is limited, so this ring is not recommended for direct petroleum immersion service. Installers in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial maintenance will find this ring appropriate for face-seal, groove-mount, and static-seal configurations at the Dash 138 size.
Designed as a Dash 138 standard O-ring replacement for use in HVAC equipment, plumbing assemblies, pump housings, and other systems requiring a 2.125-inch ID silicone face or static seal.
Licensed HVAC technicians and journeyman plumbers typically install O-rings of this type during equipment service or fitting replacement. Power down or depressurize the system fully before removing any fittings or housings. Inspect the seating groove for damage, debris, or corrosion before installing the new ring. Do not stretch or twist the O-ring during installation, and avoid applying incompatible lubricants that may degrade silicone compound.
