The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCS70118 is a Dash 118 silicone O-ring designed for sealing applications that demand a wide operating temperature range and reliable chemical resistance. Measuring 0.875 inches inside diameter, 1.063 inches outside diameter, and 0.0937 inches thick, this round cross-section ring carries a hardness rating of 70 Shore A. The white silicone compound performs from -80 degrees F up to 450 degrees F, making it suitable for dry heat, outdoor exposure, and ozone-heavy environments. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid system mechanics commonly install this type of seal in valves, fittings, and mechanical connections across residential and light commercial systems.
This O-ring is suited for static and dynamic sealing applications where wide temperature swings, weather exposure, and ozone resistance are priorities. It offers limited but functional resistance to oils, chemicals, and solvents, making it applicable in a range of plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical assemblies. Each package contains 50 O-rings, allowing technicians and shops to maintain a ready supply for recurring service calls or production line use. It is not FDA approved and should not be used in food-contact applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service stock O-ring for any application calling for a Dash 118 silicone seal with a 0.875 inch inside diameter and 0.0937 inch cross-section thickness.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or mechanical service professionals. Always depressurize and de-energize the system before removing or replacing any sealing component. Inspect the mating groove for burrs or debris before seating the O-ring to prevent damage to the seal. Do not overstretch during installation, as silicone compounds have lower tensile strength than nitrile or EPDM alternatives.
