The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCS70117 is a Dash 117 silicone O-ring designed for sealing applications that demand a wide operating temperature range and reliable dry heat resistance. The ring measures 0.799 inches inside diameter, 1.000 inch outside diameter, and 0.0937 inches thick with a round cross section. At a hardness of 70 Shore A, this is a hard-rated seal suited for static and light dynamic sealing in plumbing, HVAC, chemical handling, and general mechanical assemblies. Silicone compound provides good weather and ozone resistance, making it a practical choice where rubber compounds would degrade. Each package contains 50 rings.
This O-ring is appropriate for residential and light commercial systems where sealing integrity across extreme temperature swings is required. Typical applications include HVAC equipment fittings, fluid system connections, and equipment that cycles between cold environments and elevated heat. The material is compatible with oils, chemicals, and solvants in limited concentrations. It is not FDA approved, so it is not suitable for food-contact or medical applications. Installers in plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical trades commonly use this size in standard port and groove fittings that accept a Dash 117 cross-section seal.
Designed as a Dash 117 standard O-ring replacement suitable for any groove or port machined to accept a 0.799-inch ID, 1.000-inch OD, 0.0937-inch cross-section silicone seal. Verify groove dimensions and chemical exposure against silicone material limits before installation.
O-rings are installed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical trades following applicable system codes. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or seating any seal. Inspect the groove for burrs, corrosion, or debris that could compromise the seating surface. Do not stretch the ring excessively during installation, and use only lubricants compatible with silicone elastomers.
