The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCQH70018 is a Dash 018 nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) O-ring with an X-profile cross section, packaged in quantities of 50. It measures 0.75 inches inside diameter, 0.875 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick. The 70 Shore A durometer rating places it in the hard range, giving it solid resistance to compression set under sustained sealing load. NBR is widely used in fluid and pneumatic sealing applications due to its compatibility with oils, fuels, and common refrigerants. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pipefitters install this style of O-ring when servicing valves, fittings, and mechanical connections in fluid-handling systems.
This O-ring is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a Dash 018 size seal is required. Its NBR compound performs across a temperature range of -30 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it appropriate for hydronic heating lines, refrigeration service valves, compressed air fittings, and general plumbing connections. The X-profile cross section provides four sealing lobes instead of the standard two, which can improve sealing performance in dynamic or oscillating applications compared to a traditional round cross section. Each package contains 50 pieces, supporting bench stock and service van replenishment needs.
Designed as a standard Dash 018 replacement O-ring for use in valves, fittings, and mechanical sealing assemblies in HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and general fluid-handling systems where NBR compound and a 0.75-inch inside diameter seal are required.
Licensed technicians and journeymen plumbers typically install O-rings of this type during valve overhauls, fitting replacements, or system commissioning. Always depressurize and drain the line or system before removing any fitting or valve that retains this seal. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible grease or fluid prior to installation to prevent tearing during assembly. Do not overstretch the O-ring during installation, as NBR is susceptible to permanent deformation if strained beyond its elastic limit.
