The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCQH70005 is a Dash 005 nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) O-ring with an X-profile cross section, sold in a pack of 100. It measures 0.0937 inches inside diameter, 0.2187 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick. The X cross section — sometimes called a quad ring — provides four contact points rather than two, which improves sealing performance and reduces rolling or twisting in dynamic applications. This O-ring carries a Shore A durometer rating of 70, placing it in the hard range. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system technicians install this size in small-bore fittings, valves, and hydraulic or pneumatic components where a reliable low-pressure to moderate-pressure static or dynamic seal is required.
This O-ring is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing fittings, HVAC refrigerant-side components, pneumatic tooling, and hydraulic valve assemblies that call for a Dash 005 cross-section seal. NBR material provides solid resistance to petroleum-based oils, fuels, and water, making it a common choice across HVAC, plumbing, and general fluid-handling applications. The 100-piece pack supports service shop inventory and batch maintenance tasks. Operating temperature range is -30 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Note that this O-ring is not FDA approved and is not intended for food-contact or potable-water applications without verification of local code requirements.
Designed as a standard Dash 005 replacement O-ring for small-bore fittings, valves, and fluid-handling components that specify an NBR X-profile seal in this inch size range.
O-ring installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified mechanic depending on the application. Depressurize and drain or isolate the system before removing the old seal. Inspect the groove for burrs, scoring, or contamination and clean the seating surface before installing the new ring. Apply a thin film of compatible lubricant — compatible with both NBR and the system fluid — to ease installation and prevent tearing; never use petroleum-based grease on a seal unless confirmed compatible with NBR material.
