The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCN70015 is a neoprene O-ring with a round cross section, sized at 0.563 inches inside diameter, 0.688 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches (1/16 inch) thickness. It carries a Dash 015 designation and a Shore hardness rating of 70, placing it in the hard range. This O-ring is used to create fluid-tight seals in refrigeration, HVAC, and plumbing systems. It is installed by HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, and plumbers in applications where a small-diameter, reliable elastomeric seal is required.
This O-ring is suited for refrigeration systems that use Freon-type refrigerants, as well as general sealing applications requiring moderate resistance to petroleum products. Its neoprene compound provides good ozone and weather resistance along with good compression set characteristics, making it appropriate for both indoor mechanical systems and outdoor-exposed components. The operating temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F covers most residential and light commercial HVAC and refrigeration service conditions. Sold in a package of 100 pieces, this part is practical for shop stock or field service kits.
Designed for sealing applications involving Freon-type refrigerants and mild petroleum-based fluids. Suitable as a replacement or shop-stock O-ring in refrigeration, HVAC, and plumbing assemblies requiring a Dash 015 neoprene seal. Not FDA approved; not intended for food-contact applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician, refrigeration mechanic, or licensed plumber, depending on the system being serviced. Always recover refrigerant and depressurize the system before replacing O-rings in refrigeration circuits. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible refrigeration-grade oil prior to installation to prevent tearing during assembly. Inspect the seating groove for damage or contamination before installing the new seal.
