The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCHB90006 is a nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) backup o-ring with a rectangular cross section, rated at 90 durometer for extra-hard hardness. It measures 0.14 inches inside diameter, 0.246 inches outside diameter, and 0.0468 inches thick. The 90-durometer hardness makes this ring well suited for high-pressure sealing applications where a softer o-ring would extrude under load. The temperature range runs from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it compatible with a wide range of fluid and gas service conditions. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system technicians are the typical installers. Each package contains 100 rings.
This o-ring is intended for use as a backup sealing element in hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and HVAC refrigeration fittings where extrusion resistance is required. The Dash 8-006 designation is a standard sizing reference used across trade applications to confirm dimensional fit in mating grooves and glands. The rectangular cross section is specific to backup ring service rather than standard dynamic face sealing. Suitable for residential and light commercial system assemblies where NBR chemical compatibility with oils, fuels, and water is required. This part is sold in a package of 100 units with a minimum order quantity of 1 package.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service stock backup ring for hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and HVAC fittings dimensioned to accept a Dash 8-006 ring with 0.14 inches inside diameter and 0.246 inches outside diameter.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or hydraulic system mechanics. Shut off fluid or gas supply and depressurize the system fully before disassembling any fitting or gland. Inspect the mating groove for wear or damage before seating the backup ring. Do not stretch or nick the ring during installation, as surface damage will compromise the seal under pressure.
