The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90913 is a Dash 913 nitrile butadiene rubber (Buna-N) O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling systems. It measures 0.986 inches inside diameter, 1.218 inches outside diameter, and 0.116 inches in cross-section thickness. The compound is rated at 90 durometer, placing it in the extra-hard hardness range, and it carries a working temperature range of -40 to 250 degrees F. Buna-N is the most widely used O-ring elastomer in the trade, valued for its excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, reliable compression set performance, and strong tear and abrasion resistance.
This O-ring is suited for plumbing, HVAC, and hydraulic assemblies where exposure to petroleum products, oils, fuels, or hydraulic fluids is expected. Typical applications include pump seals, valve stems, fittings, and fluid-line connections in both residential and light commercial equipment. The 90 durometer rating makes this part appropriate for higher-pressure sealing environments where a softer compound would extrude or deform. It conforms to SAE and MIL-Spec standards, making it a common choice for maintenance, repair, and OEM replacement work across multiple trades.
Compatible with petroleum products and petroleum-based hydraulic fluids. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or maintenance stock O-ring for any application calling for a Dash 913 Buna-N O-ring with a 90 durometer rating. Not FDA approved; not recommended for food-grade or medical fluid contact. Store away from direct sunlight, ozone sources, and electrical equipment that may generate ozone.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or hydraulic system technicians. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing O-rings. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or assembly lubricant to prevent pinching or tearing during installation. Do not overstretch the ring during placement, and inspect the mating groove for wear, nicks, or contamination before seating the new seal.
