The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90451 is a Dash 451 Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR/Buna-N) O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling systems. It measures 11 inches inside diameter, 11.5 inches outside diameter, and 0.25 inches thick with a round cross section. The 90 durometer hardness rating places this in the extra-hard range, making it suitable for higher-pressure environments where extrusion resistance is critical. Rated from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this O-ring performs across a wide temperature range. Each package contains 2 pieces. Plumbers, pipefitters, and fluid system technicians are the primary installers of this size O-ring.
This O-ring is formulated for compatibility with petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic oils, fuels, and similar media. Its large diameter makes it appropriate for pipe flanges, pump housings, valve covers, and large-bore fittings in industrial, commercial plumbing, and HVAC hydronic applications. The Buna-N compound provides excellent compression set resistance and strong tear and abrasion resistance, characteristics that matter in high-cycle or high-vibration installations. It meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards, making it applicable in both commercial and light industrial maintenance contexts.
Compatible with petroleum products, hydraulic oils, and similar fluid media. Not recommended for use with ozone-generating environments, direct sunlight exposure during storage, or near motors and electrical equipment that may produce ozone. Not FDA approved for food or pharmaceutical contact applications.
Installation of large-diameter O-rings of this size is typically performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or fluid system technicians. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing the old seal and seating the replacement. Inspect the groove or mating surface for damage or corrosion before installation. Avoid twisting the O-ring during seating, and do not use sharp tools that could nick or cut the elastomer.
