The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90331 is a Dash 331 O-ring made from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), one of the most widely used elastomers in fluid sealing applications. It measures 2.25 inches inside diameter, 2.625 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches thick with a round cross section. Rated at 90 durometer (Extra Hard), this O-ring delivers firm compression set resistance and strong resistance to tearing and abrasion. The working temperature range spans -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F. It is sold in a package quantity of 25. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial maintenance professionals regularly use Buna-N O-rings for sealing in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid system connections.
This O-ring is suited for use in residential and commercial applications wherever a Dash 331 O-ring is specified. Its Buna-N compound gives excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, making it a practical choice for hydraulic systems, fuel handling equipment, plumbing valve assemblies, and HVAC refrigerant-circuit service connections that involve petroleum-compatible lubricants. The 90 durometer hardness is appropriate for higher-pressure applications that benefit from reduced extrusion risk. Per the supplier data, this material is not recommended for storage in direct sunlight or near motors and other electrical equipment that may generate ozone.
Compatible with petroleum-based products and fluids. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service O-ring wherever a Dash 331 Buna-N O-ring is specified in hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, or HVAC service applications.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or hydraulic system mechanics. Shut down and depressurize the system completely before removing the old O-ring. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for damage or debris before seating the new ring. Avoid rolling or twisting the O-ring during installation, and do not store unused rings in direct sunlight or near ozone-generating equipment.
