The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90328 is a Dash 328 O-ring manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), the most widely used elastomer in fluid sealing applications. It measures 1.875 inches inside diameter, 2.25 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches thick with a round cross section. Rated at 90 durometer (Extra Hard), this O-ring delivers excellent compression set resistance along with strong tear and abrasion resistance. The temperature range spans -40 to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a broad range of service conditions. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid system technicians routinely specify Buna-N O-rings for petroleum-based fluid sealing across hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration applications.
This O-ring is used in residential and commercial systems where petroleum-based fluids are present. Typical applications include hydraulic cylinder rod and piston seals, valve stem packing, pump shaft seals, and fluid fittings in HVAC and plumbing assemblies. The Buna-N compound provides excellent resistance to petroleum products, oils, fuels, and many hydraulic fluids. This part is not recommended for use with ozone-rich environments, direct sunlight exposure, or near electrical equipment that may generate ozone. It conforms to SAE and MIL-Spec standards.
Designed for use with petroleum products, hydraulic oils, fuels, and similar fluid media in systems requiring a standard Dash 328 O-ring groove. Compatible materials include petroleum-based fluids; not rated for use with ozone, strong acids, ketones, or esters.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, hydraulic technician, or HVAC mechanic following applicable system shutdown and pressure relief procedures before disassembly. Ensure the mating groove is clean and free of debris before seating the O-ring. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or O-ring lubricant during installation to reduce the risk of twisting or nicking. Do not store O-rings in direct sunlight or near motors and other electrical equipment that generate ozone, as this degrades NBR compounds over time.
