The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90325 is a Dash 325 Buna-N (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) O-ring with a 1.5-inch inside diameter, 1.875-inch outside diameter, and a 0.1875-inch cross-section thickness. Hardness is rated at 90 durometer, placing it in the extra-hard category. This O-ring is designed for static and dynamic sealing applications where contact with petroleum-based fluids is expected. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial maintenance professionals commonly use this size to seal hydraulic fittings, refrigerant service ports, fuel system connections, and general fluid-handling assemblies. The package contains 50 O-rings.
This O-ring is suited for applications involving petroleum products, hydraulic oils, fuels, and many common lubricants. Its operating temperature range of -40 to 250 degrees F makes it appropriate for both refrigeration and moderate-temperature hydraulic or fuel systems. Typical install scenarios include replacing worn seals on hydraulic cylinders, plumbing union connections, pump housings, and HVAC refrigerant-side fittings. It is not recommended for exposure to ozone, strong sunlight during storage, or applications involving ozone-generating equipment.
Compatible with petroleum products, hydraulic oils, and fuels per the manufacturer material data. Meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards for Dash 325 O-ring dimensions. Not FDA approved; not intended for food-contact or potable-water applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with the system being serviced. Depressurize and isolate the assembly before removing the existing O-ring. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or assembly lubricant before seating to prevent tearing during installation. Avoid storing unused O-rings near motors, electrical equipment, or in direct sunlight, as ozone exposure degrades NBR compounds.
