The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90322 is a Dash 322 Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N) O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications across plumbing, HVAC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. It measures 1.25 inches inside diameter, 1.625 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches in cross-section thickness. The compound carries a 90 durometer (extra hard) hardness rating, making it well suited for higher-pressure environments where compression set resistance is critical. The operating temperature range spans -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial mechanics routinely specify Buna-N at this durometer for petroleum-based fluid service.
This O-ring is appropriate for residential and commercial applications involving petroleum-based fluids, oils, fuels, and general hydraulic media. The Dash 322 designation is a standard AS568 size, so it drops into any fitting, valve, or port machined to that cross-section. It is sold in a package quantity of 50 units, making it practical for service fleets, shop stock, and MRO replenishment. It is not recommended for service in direct sunlight exposure or near ozone-generating equipment such as electric motors when stored long-term.
Designed for use with petroleum products and compatible fluids in any fitting, valve body, or port machined to the AS568 Dash 322 cross-section specification. Compatible material types include petroleum-based oils, fuels, and hydraulic fluids. Not FDA approved; not intended for food-contact or potable-water service.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified mechanic following applicable system codes. Always depressurize and isolate the fluid circuit before removing or installing O-rings. Lubricate the O-ring lightly with a compatible petroleum-based grease during assembly to prevent tearing during seating. Avoid twisting the ring in the groove, and inspect the seating surface for nicks or burrs before installation.
