The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90255 is a Dash 255 Buna-N (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) O-ring rated at 90 durometer hardness, intended for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling assemblies where petroleum-based media resistance is required. The ring measures 5.625 inches inside diameter, 5.875 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick with a round cross-section. Its extra-hard 90 durometer compound provides excellent compression set resistance and strong tear and abrasion resistance. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance mechanics working with petroleum-product fluid circuits rely on this elastomer for durable sealing performance across a wide service temperature range.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial fluid-system applications involving petroleum-based oils, fuels, and hydraulic fluids. The Buna-N compound is the most widely used O-ring elastomer in trade applications and performs reliably in static or dynamic sealing situations. With a temperature operating range of -40 to 250 degrees F, it is appropriate for ambient outdoor installations as well as moderate-heat equipment environments. Packaged in quantities of 25 per unit, it fits maintenance stock programs and multi-unit repair jobs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or maintenance-stock O-ring for hydraulic, pneumatic, and petroleum-fluid sealing applications requiring a Dash 255 Buna-N ring. Compatible with petroleum products; not recommended for exposure to ozone sources, direct sunlight during storage, or proximity to electrical equipment that generates ozone.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial maintenance mechanics. Always de-pressurize and isolate the fluid circuit before removing or installing O-rings. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for burrs or scoring before seating the new ring. Avoid stretching the O-ring beyond what is necessary for installation, and do not store unused rings in direct sunlight or near ozone-generating equipment such as motors.
