The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90220 is a Dash 220 nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) O-ring used to create static and dynamic fluid seals in hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing assemblies. It measures 1.375 inches inside diameter, 1.625 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick, with a round cross-section profile. The compound is rated 90 durometer (extra hard), giving it strong resistance to compression set, tearing, and abrasion. This O-ring is compatible with petroleum-based fluids and performs across a temperature range of -40 to 250 degrees F. Each package contains 50 pieces. Plumbers, hydraulic technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals install this type of seal in pumps, valves, cylinders, and fittings.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, hydraulic power systems, and light industrial fluid-handling equipment wherever a Dash 220 cross-section seal is required. The NBR compound is the most widely used O-ring elastomer because of its broad compatibility with petroleum-based oils, fuels, and hydraulic fluids. It is not recommended for use with ozone-rich environments, direct UV exposure, or near electrical equipment that generates ozone. Applications include pump housing seals, valve stems, cylinder end caps, and threaded port seals.
Compatible with petroleum products and petroleum-based hydraulic fluids. Suitable as a Dash 220 replacement O-ring in any system requiring a 1.375-inch ID NBR seal conforming to SAE and MIL-Spec standards. Not FDA approved; not intended for food-contact or medical applications.
Plumbers, hydraulic technicians, and mechanical maintenance technicians install NBR O-rings as part of routine seal replacement and fluid system service. Always depressurize and drain the system before removing old seals. Inspect the O-ring groove for corrosion, burrs, or debris before seating the new ring. Avoid storing unused O-rings in direct sunlight or near motors and electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as exposure degrades the NBR compound.
