The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90160 is a Dash 160 O-ring made from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), one of the most widely used elastomers in sealing applications. It measures 5.25 inches inside diameter, 5.438 inches outside diameter, and 0.0937 inches thick with a round cross section. Rated at 90 durometer (extra hard), it delivers strong resistance to compression set, tearing, and abrasion. The working temperature range runs from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a broad range of industrial and mechanical sealing tasks. Licensed tradespeople and maintenance technicians install these in fluid system connections, valve assemblies, and pump housings where a reliable petroleum-resistant seal is required.
This O-ring is well suited for plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and general industrial applications where contact with petroleum-based fluids, oils, and fuels is expected. The Buna-N compound provides excellent resistance to petroleum products, which makes it a common choice in HVAC refrigerant circuits using certain refrigerant oils, fuel handling equipment, and hydraulic systems. Sold in a package of 25, this item suits field technicians and shop environments that need on-hand inventory for routine maintenance and seal replacement tasks.
Compatible with petroleum-based products and fluids. Designed as a standard Dash 160 O-ring replacement for use in systems where Buna-N elastomer is appropriate. Not FDA approved; not recommended for direct food-contact or ozone-heavy environments. Store away from direct sunlight and electrical equipment that may generate ozone.
Installation of O-rings is performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, hydraulic system mechanics, and industrial maintenance personnel. Always depressurize and drain the system before replacing any O-ring seal. Inspect the mating groove and sealing surfaces for nicks or corrosion before installing the new ring. Apply a compatible lubricant during installation to reduce the risk of rolling or tearing the O-ring in the groove.
