The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90031 is a Dash 031 Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N) O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in fluid and pneumatic systems. The ring measures 1.75 inches inside diameter, 1.875 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches in cross-section thickness. Rated at 90 durometer, this extra-hard compound delivers excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, strong compression set recovery, and reliable tear and abrasion resistance. The operating temperature range spans -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a broad range of service conditions. Each package contains 100 rings. Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, hydraulic system technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals.
Buna-N O-rings in Dash 031 sizing are widely used in hydraulic fittings, pneumatic cylinders, fuel system components, valve stems, pump housings, and refrigeration service connections where petroleum-based fluids or oils are present. The 90 durometer hardness suits high-pressure applications where extrusion resistance is a priority. This O-ring is not intended for use with glycol-based fluids, ketones, esters, or strong acids without verifying chemical compatibility against the Buna-N resistance chart. Store away from direct sunlight, ozone sources, and electrical equipment that generates ozone.
Compatible with petroleum products including hydraulic oils, fuel, and lubricating oils. Conforms to Dash 031 standard sizing per SAE and MIL-Spec O-ring dimensions, fitting any gland or port designed for the Dash 031 cross-section and inner diameter specification.
Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing O-rings. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or grease before seating to prevent tearing during assembly. Avoid rolling or twisting the ring during installation, as this introduces stress that leads to premature seal failure. Inspect the gland groove for burrs, nicks, or contamination before installing a replacement ring.
