The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90020 is a Dash 020 Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N) O-ring rated at 90 durometer hardness. It measures 0.875 inches inside diameter, 1.000 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick with a round cross-section profile. Classified as extra hard, this O-ring delivers excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids along with strong compression set, tear, and abrasion resistance. It is the most widely used elastomer in fluid sealing applications and is a standard fit for plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical assemblies where hydrocarbon fluid exposure is expected. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical service professionals specify Buna-N seals for routine service work.
This O-ring is suited for applications involving petroleum products, hydraulic fluids, and similar hydrocarbon-based media. The -40 to 250 degrees F working temperature range covers the majority of residential and light commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing service scenarios. Typical installations include valve stems, fittings, pump housings, and compressor service ports where a reliable fluid seal is required. The part is sold in a package quantity of 100 units, making it appropriate for service technicians stocking a standard seal kit or performing multiple repairs in a single job lot.
Compatible with petroleum products and hydrocarbon-based fluids. Designed as a standard Dash 020 replacement O-ring for valves, fittings, pump assemblies, and mechanical sealing points in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial fluid systems. Not FDA approved. Avoid storing near direct sunlight, motors, or electrical equipment that may generate ozone.
Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians should de-pressurize and lock out the system before replacing any O-ring seal. Inspect the seating groove for nicks, corrosion, or debris before installing the new seal. Apply a compatible petroleum-based or system-approved lubricant to the O-ring prior to installation to prevent tearing during assembly. Follow applicable codes including IPC and IFGC for fluid system service.
