The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH90017 is a Dash 017 O-ring made from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), the most widely used elastomer in fluid sealing applications. It measures 0.688 inches inside diameter, 0.813 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick with a round cross section. Rated at 90 durometer (extra hard), it delivers excellent compression set resistance along with strong tear and abrasion resistance. The working temperature range spans -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a broad range of mechanical and fluid system environments. This part is sold in a package of 100.
This O-ring is used wherever a reliable static or dynamic seal is required against petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic oils, and fuels. Typical applications include HVAC refrigerant service fittings, plumbing valves, hydraulic cylinders, fuel systems, and general industrial equipment. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, hydraulic system specialists, and maintenance professionals routinely stock Dash 017 NBR O-rings as a standard repair consumable. The 90 durometer hardness suits high-pressure and high-wear sealing points where a softer O-ring would extrude or deform prematurely.
Compatible with petroleum products, hydraulic oils, and fuels per manufacturer data. Designed as a standard Dash 017 replacement O-ring for any application specifying a 0.688 inches ID by 0.813 inches OD by 0.0625 inches thick NBR O-ring. Not FDA approved; not recommended for ozone-heavy environments or direct sunlight storage.
Power down or depressurize the system fully before replacing any O-ring in a hydraulic, refrigerant, or fluid line. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or O-ring lubricant before installation to prevent tearing during assembly. Avoid storing Buna-N O-rings near motors, electrical equipment, or direct sunlight, as ozone and UV exposure degrade the elastomer over time. Installation should follow applicable system codes and the equipment manufacturer's service procedures.
