The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70MD222 is a Dash 222 O-ring manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), the most widely used elastomer in fluid-sealing applications. It measures 1.484 inches inside diameter, 1.750 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick, with a round cross section and a Shore A hardness rating of 70. This O-ring delivers reliable static and dynamic sealing performance across a broad service temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors use these rings to seal hydraulic and pneumatic connections in systems that contact petroleum-based fluids.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC equipment, hydraulic systems, and general industrial fluid-handling assemblies where petroleum-product compatibility is required. The Buna-N compound provides excellent resistance to petroleum products, oils, and fuels. It also resists compression set, tearing, and abrasion under typical working pressures and temperatures. Each package contains 10 O-rings, sold with a minimum order quantity of 1 package.
Compatible with petroleum products, oils, and fuels. Designed as a standard Dash 222 O-ring replacement for hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and HVAC sealing applications where Buna-N elastomer is the specified material. Not FDA approved for food-contact applications; additional information notes metal-detectable FDA designation.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or hydraulic system technicians. Depressurize and isolate the line or fitting before removing the old O-ring. Lightly lubricate the new O-ring with a compatible fluid or grease before seating to prevent tearing during installation. Do not store O-rings in direct sunlight or near motors or other electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as this degrades the elastomer.
