The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70MD121 is a Dash 121 nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) O-ring with a 1.490-inch inside diameter, 1.250-inch outside diameter, and a 0.094-inch thick round cross section. NBR is the most widely used O-ring elastomer in industrial and fluid-system applications, offering excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, strong compression set resistance, and solid tear and abrasion resistance. This O-ring carries a Shore A hardness rating of 70 and operates reliably from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Each order includes a pack of 10 O-rings. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system mechanics install this type of seal in hydraulic fittings, pneumatic assemblies, fuel lines, and similar connections requiring a dependable static or dynamic face seal.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial applications wherever a Dash 121 size is specified. It is compatible with petroleum products and petroleum-based lubricants and fluids, making it appropriate for fuel system repairs, hydraulic manifolds, pump housings, and valve bodies. It is not recommended for exposure to ozone, direct sunlight during storage, or environments where ozone-generating equipment such as motors or transformers is present. This is a non-FDA-approved compound; a metal-detectable FDA note is listed in the supplier data for reference, but the FDA Approved designation for this specific part is listed as No.
Designed as a standard Dash 121 O-ring replacement compatible with petroleum-product fluid systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel-line assemblies that specify a 1.490-inch ID nitrile O-ring seal.
Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing the old O-ring and installing the replacement. Clean the groove and mating surfaces to remove debris, old sealant, or residual material before seating the new O-ring. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible petroleum-based lubricant to ease installation and reduce the risk of rolling or twisting in the groove. Store unused O-rings away from direct sunlight, ozone sources, and electrical equipment that may generate ozone to preserve elastomer integrity.
