The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70MD021 is a Dash 021 nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) O-ring with a 15/16-inch inner diameter, 1-1/16-inch outer diameter, and 1/16-inch thickness. It features a round cross section and a Shore A hardness of 70, placing it in the hard hardness range. NBR is the most widely used O-ring elastomer in trade applications, offering excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, strong compression set performance, and solid tear and abrasion resistance. This O-ring is sold in a package of 25 units. It is installed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial mechanics wherever a reliable fluid seal is required in petroleum-compatible systems.
This O-ring is suited for use in hydraulic systems, pneumatic assemblies, fuel handling equipment, and general plumbing connections where petroleum-based fluids or lubricants are present. The Dash 021 sizing is a standard AS568 dimension, making it a common replacement or stocking item in service van inventories. The operating temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F covers most residential and light commercial HVAC, plumbing, and fluid-power applications. NBR O-rings of this grade are used in valve stems, pump housings, fittings, and compression fittings across a wide range of equipment types.
Designed as a standard Dash 021 AS568-dimension O-ring for use in any application requiring a 15/16-inch ID seal in equipment compatible with nitrile butadiene rubber and petroleum-based fluids. Not FDA approved for direct food-contact applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or hydraulic system mechanic. Always depressurize and isolate the system before replacing an O-ring seal. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible petroleum-based or system-fluid lubricant before seating it in the groove to prevent nicking or rolling during assembly. Avoid using sharp tools that could cut or deform the cross section during installation.
