The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70MD008 is a Dash 008 O-ring made from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR), the most widely used elastomer for sealing applications in fluid and pneumatic systems. It measures 0.188 inches inside diameter, 0.312 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick, with a round cross section and a Shore A hardness rating of 70. This O-ring delivers excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, strong compression set characteristics, and solid tear and abrasion resistance. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical contractors use this size for sealing fittings, valves, and connectors across a wide range of service and maintenance tasks. Each package contains 50 pieces.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial applications wherever petroleum-based fluid containment is required. Common install scenarios include refrigeration service valve stems, hydraulic fittings, fuel system connections, plumbing shutoff valves, and compressed-air line fittings. The Dash 008 sizing is a standard AS568 designation, making it straightforward to cross-reference against OEM seal kits and maintenance schedules. Operating temperature range runs from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, covering most HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing service environments. The NBR compound is not recommended for exposure to ozone, direct sunlight storage, or proximity to motors and electrical equipment that generate ozone.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service seal for any application specifying a standard AS568 Dash 008 O-ring in NBR material, including petroleum-compatible fluid and pneumatic systems. Not compatible with ozone-generating environments or prolonged direct sunlight exposure.
Qualified HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical service professionals should install this O-ring. Always shut off fluid supply and depressurize the system before removing any fitting or valve assembly. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible petroleum-based or system-fluid lubricant prior to seating to prevent pinching and ensure even compression. Inspect the groove and mating surface for nicks, corrosion, or debris that could compromise the seal before installation.
