The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70FDA335 is a Dash 335 O-ring manufactured from white Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR/BUNA-N) with FDA approval, making it suitable for applications requiring food-safe sealing materials. The ring measures 2.725 inches inside diameter, 3.125 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches thick with a round cross section. Hardness is rated at 70 Shore A, classified as hard. The NBR compound delivers excellent resistance to petroleum products along with strong compression set, tear resistance, and abrasion resistance. Sold in a package of 10 rings. This O-ring is installed by plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and maintenance mechanics working on fluid-handling and sealing applications.
The ZMSCH70FDA335 is designed for use in systems that handle petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic media, water, and compatible process fluids. Its FDA-approved white NBR compound makes it appropriate for equipment where incidental food contact compliance is required, such as food processing or beverage handling machinery. The operating temperature range spans -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, supporting both refrigeration-adjacent and moderate-heat service environments. The Dash 335 designation conforms to standard AS568 sizing used across industrial, HVAC, plumbing, and OEM equipment.
Compatible with petroleum products and petroleum-based fluids per manufacturer specifications. Conforms to SAE and MIL-Spec standards for Dash 335 O-ring sizing. Not recommended for use with ozone-generating environments, direct sunlight exposure, or motors and electrical equipment that produce ozone.
Power down or depressurize the system fully before replacing O-rings in any fluid or pneumatic circuit. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for burrs or damage before seating the ring to prevent premature failure. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or grease prior to installation to avoid tearing during assembly. Follow applicable codes such as IPC or IFGC for plumbing and gas-line service where O-ring seals are used in fittings or valves.
