The Value Collection ZMSCH70FDA230 is a Dash 230 O-ring manufactured from Buna-N (nitrile butadiene rubber) with FDA approval for use in food-contact and sanitary applications. It measures 2.484 inches inside diameter, 2.75 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick with a round cross section. Hardness is rated at 70 Shore A, placing it in the hard category. This O-ring is suited for static and dynamic sealing in fluid systems across plumbing, HVAC, hydraulic, and industrial maintenance applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians are the primary installers. Sold in packs of 10.
Buna-N is the most widely used O-ring elastomer in trade applications. This part is a direct fit for sealing applications involving petroleum-based fluids, water, and mild chemicals. It performs across a temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it appropriate for both chilled-water and hot-water piping systems, pump housings, valve bonnets, and compressor fittings. The FDA-approved white compound also makes it suitable for potable water and food-processing equipment where material compliance is required.
Compatible with petroleum products and systems requiring Buna-N elastomer seals. Conforms to SAE and MIL-Spec standards. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service seal for Dash 230 O-ring applications in plumbing, HVAC, hydraulic, and fluid-handling equipment where Buna-N material is specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified maintenance technician. Always depressurize the system and shut off all fluid supply before removing the existing seal. Inspect the mating groove for surface damage or debris before seating the new O-ring. Do not store unused O-rings in direct sunlight or near motors and electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as this degrades the elastomer.
