The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70FDA226 is a Dash 226 Buna-N (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) O-ring with a round cross section, rated at 70 Shore A durometer hardness. It measures 1.984 inches inside diameter, 2.25 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick. This O-ring carries FDA approval and meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards, making it suitable for use in food-contact and sanitary fluid system applications. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals install this part as a static or dynamic face seal in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid transfer connections.
Buna-N is the most widely used O-ring elastomer in trade and industrial applications. This Dash 226 size fits common plumbing, HVAC, and light hydraulic fittings where a 2-inch nominal bore seal is required. The white color and FDA-approved compound make it appropriate for potable water systems, food-grade fluid lines, and sanitary process piping in addition to standard petroleum-fluid service. It is well-suited for residential and commercial plumbing rough-in, pump sealing, and refrigeration service valves where NBR compatibility is confirmed.
Compatible with petroleum products and petroleum-based fluids. Should not be used with ozone-generating environments, direct sunlight exposure, or near motors and electrical equipment that produce ozone. Designed as an OEM-style replacement seal for plumbing, HVAC, and light hydraulic fittings requiring a Dash 226 O-ring with a Buna-N compound.
Power down or depressurize the system and relieve all fluid pressure before removing the existing O-ring. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible grease or fluid before seating to prevent twisting and surface damage during installation. Avoid rolling or spiraling the O-ring into the groove; seat it evenly. Follow applicable plumbing or mechanical codes, including IPC and ASME B31 references where fluid system work is regulated.
