The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70FDA215 is a Dash 215 O-ring made from Buna-N (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber), one of the most widely used elastomers in fluid sealing applications. It features a round cross section with a 1.46-inch inside diameter, a 1.312-inch outside diameter, and a 0.125-inch (1/8 inch) wall thickness. Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, this O-ring carries FDA approval and meets both SAE and MIL-Spec standards. It is sold in packages of 10 and is appropriate for plumbing, HVAC, and fluid system maintenance work performed by licensed trade professionals.
This O-ring is suited for static and dynamic sealing applications where contact with petroleum-based fluids is expected. Its Buna-N construction delivers reliable resistance to oils, fuels, and hydraulic fluids across a wide service temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F. The FDA-approved white compound makes it suitable for use in food-grade equipment and potable water systems where material compliance is required. Typical applications include valve stems, pump shafts, fittings, and manifold face seals in residential and commercial systems.
Compatible with petroleum products and petroleum-based fluids. Designed as a standard Dash 215 O-ring replacement for use in valves, pumps, fittings, and fluid system components requiring a 1.46-inch ID seal with a 1/8-inch cross section. Note: Buna-N should not be stored in direct sunlight or near motors or electrical equipment that may generate ozone.
O-ring replacement is performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid system mechanics. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing the existing seal to prevent fluid release or injury. Inspect the seating groove for burrs or damage before installing the new O-ring, and apply a compatible lubricant to ease installation and reduce risk of tearing. Follow applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines for the system type being serviced.
