The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70FDA122 is a Dash 122 O-ring manufactured from white Buna-N (nitrile butadiene rubber) with FDA approval, making it suitable for applications requiring food-grade sealing compliance. With a 1.112-inch inside diameter, a 1.313-inch outside diameter, and a 3/32-inch (0.0937-inch) round cross section, this O-ring seals at 70 Shore A hardness. It handles a working temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F and is compatible with petroleum-based fluids. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance trades typically install this type of seal in valves, fittings, pumps, and fluid-handling equipment where static or dynamic face sealing is required.
This O-ring is designed for use in plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial fluid systems where petroleum-product resistance and reliable compression set performance are critical. The white FDA-approved Buna-N compound meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards, making it appropriate for both general-purpose and food-contact-adjacent sealing environments. It installs in standard Dash 122 O-ring grooves and is packaged in quantities of 25, suited to service calls or bench-stock replenishment. Avoid storage in direct sunlight or near motors and electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as ozone degrades nitrile compounds over time.
Designed as a standard Dash 122 O-ring replacement for valves, pumps, fittings, and fluid-handling assemblies that specify a 1.112-inch ID Buna-N seal with FDA-compliant materials.
Installation is performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial maintenance mechanics. Always depressurize and drain the affected system before removing the old O-ring. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible petroleum-based or silicone grease before seating it in the groove to prevent pinching or rolling during assembly. Do not stretch the O-ring beyond what is needed to seat it, and inspect the groove for burrs or corrosion that could cause premature seal failure.
