The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70FDA111 is a Dash 111 O-ring made from Buna-N (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber), the most widely used elastomer in fluid sealing applications. It measures 0.424 inches inside diameter, 0.625 inches outside diameter, and 0.0937 inches thick, with a round cross section. Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, this O-ring carries FDA approval and meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards. It is sold in a package of 25 units. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and fluid system mechanics rely on Buna-N O-rings for their reliable resistance to petroleum-based fluids and excellent compression set retention over repeated service cycles.
Buna-N O-rings in the Dash 111 size are commonly used in refrigeration service valves, hydraulic fittings, pneumatic connectors, fuel system components, and plumbing shutoff assemblies. The FDA-approved white Buna-N compound makes this ring suitable for applications requiring food-grade compliance, such as commercial kitchen equipment or potable water system components. The rated temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F covers the majority of residential and light commercial HVAC and plumbing service environments.
Compatible with petroleum products, hydraulic fluids, and other mineral oil-based media. Designed as a standard Dash 111 O-ring replacement for any application specifying a 0.424-inch ID Buna-N seal. Not recommended for use with ozone-generating environments, direct sunlight exposure, or fluids incompatible with nitrile elastomers.
O-ring installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or qualified mechanics depending on the host system — always isolate and depressurize the system before replacing any seal. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or O-ring lubricant before seating to prevent tearing during assembly. Avoid twisting or rolling the ring into the groove; seat it flat and confirm it is fully recessed before reassembly. Do not store unused rings near motors, electrical equipment, or in direct sunlight, as ozone and UV exposure degrade nitrile compounds.
