The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70FDA007 is a Dash 007 Buna-N (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) O-ring with a round cross section, sized at 0.156 inches inside diameter, 0.281 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick. Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, this O-ring carries FDA approval and meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards. It is sold in a package of 25 and is used across plumbing, HVAC, and hydraulic fluid system applications wherever a small-diameter, petroleum-resistant seal is needed. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid system mechanics routinely stock this size for routine maintenance and repair work.
This O-ring is suited for use in residential and light commercial systems where sealing against petroleum-based fluids, oils, and fuels is required. The Buna-N compound performs across a wide service temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it appropriate for both refrigeration-adjacent and high-temperature fluid applications. The FDA-approved white compound also makes it acceptable for use in food-grade or potable-water-adjacent equipment where compliance is a requirement.
Compatible with petroleum-based fluids and products per manufacturer specification. Designed as a standard Dash 007 replacement O-ring for use in plumbing valves, HVAC service ports, hydraulic fittings, and fluid handling components requiring an NBR seal. Not recommended for use with ozone, direct sunlight exposure, or near motors and electrical equipment that may generate ozone.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified fluid system mechanic. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing or replacing O-rings, and verify that residual fluid has been cleared from the line. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible lubricant before seating to reduce the risk of tearing during assembly. Do not store unused O-rings in direct sunlight or near motors and other electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as this will degrade the NBR compound over time.
