The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70366 is a Dash 366 nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) O-ring with a round cross section, packaged in a quantity of 5. It measures 7.25 inches inside diameter, 7.625 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches (3/16 inches) thick, with a Shore A hardness of 70. Rated for continuous service from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this O-ring seals against petroleum-based fluids and is the most widely used elastomer type in industrial and trade applications. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical contractors install this style of O-ring in flanged connections, pipe unions, and fluid system components where a reliable static or dynamic seal is required.
This O-ring is suited for use in petroleum product systems, hydraulic assemblies, and general fluid handling applications found in both residential and commercial mechanical systems. Its NBR compound provides excellent resistance to petroleum oils, fuels, and lubricants. It is appropriate for compressor service ports, pump flanges, valve bodies, and similar large-bore sealing applications where the Dash 366 standard dimension is called out. Not recommended for use with ozone-generating environments, direct sunlight exposure, or electrical equipment proximity during storage.
Compatible with petroleum products including oils, fuels, and lubricants. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service O-ring for any application calling out a Dash 366 dimension in NBR elastomer. Not FDA approved; not suitable for food-grade or potable water applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, HVAC technician, or mechanical tradesperson. Shut down and depressurize the system completely before removing the existing O-ring or disassembling any fitting. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible petroleum-based lubricant before seating to prevent tearing during installation. Do not store unused O-rings in direct sunlight or near motors and electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as this will degrade the NBR compound over time.
