The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70361 is a Dash 361 Buna-N (nitrile butadiene rubber) O-ring with a 6 inch inside diameter, 6.375 inch outside diameter, and a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) round cross section. Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, this O-ring is designed for static and dynamic sealing applications where contact with petroleum-based fluids is a primary concern. Its nitrile compound delivers reliable compression set resistance along with strong tear and abrasion resistance, making it a standard choice for licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system mechanics working on oil, fuel, and hydraulic circuits.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial sealing applications involving petroleum products, hydraulic fluids, and similar media. Its large 6 inch bore size is typical of industrial flanges, large-bore cylinder heads, pump housings, and pipe unions. The operating temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F makes it appropriate for most indoor mechanical systems. Each order includes a package quantity of 5 rings. Buna-N remains the most widely used O-ring elastomer in trade and industrial service.
Designed for use with petroleum products and compatible fluids in standard Dash 361 O-ring groove applications. Not FDA approved; not recommended for food-contact or ozone-heavy environments. Store away from direct sunlight and ozone-generating equipment such as electric motors.
Install by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or qualified mechanics following applicable system codes. Shut down and depressurize the system completely before removing the existing seal. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible petroleum-based or system fluid lubricant before seating; avoid using silicone greases with nitrile compounds. Inspect the groove for nicks or burrs that could compromise the seal before installing the new ring.
