The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70340 is a Dash 340 O-ring with a round cross section, manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N). It measures 3.375 inches inside diameter, 3.75 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches thick. Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, this O-ring is designed for static and dynamic sealing applications where contact with petroleum-based fluids is expected. It handles a working temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Buna-N is the most widely used elastomer in fluid sealing, offering strong resistance to petroleum products along with reliable compression set, tear resistance, and abrasion resistance. Licensed tradespeople and maintenance professionals across HVAC, plumbing, hydraulic, and industrial service install this type of seal routinely.
This O-ring is suited for use in residential and commercial systems that involve petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic circuits, fuel systems, and general-purpose pneumatic or fluid connections. The Dash 340 designation follows AS568 standard sizing, making it a straightforward reference for sourcing replacements in pump assemblies, valve stems, fitting connections, and similar applications. It conforms to SAE and MIL-Spec standards, making it appropriate for both commercial service and light industrial maintenance work. It is not FDA approved and should not be used in direct food-contact or potable-water applications without confirming material suitability. Sold in packages of 25.
Compatible with petroleum products and hydraulic fluid media. Designed as a standard AS568 Dash 340 O-ring replacement for use in pumps, valves, fittings, and fluid connectors where Buna-N elastomer is the specified material. Not compatible with ozone-generating environments, direct sunlight storage, or applications requiring FDA-compliant sealing.
O-ring installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, hydraulic system technicians, and qualified maintenance personnel. Always depressurize and de-energize the system before removing or installing seals. Avoid stretching the O-ring beyond its natural diameter during installation, and do not expose the seal to motors or electrical equipment that may generate ozone during storage or service. Inspect the seating groove for burrs or damage before installing a replacement seal.
