The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70239 is a Dash 239 O-ring made from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), the most widely used elastomer in sealing applications. It measures 3.625 inches inside diameter, 3.875 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick with a round cross section. Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, this O-ring delivers excellent resistance to petroleum products along with strong compression set, tear resistance, and abrasion resistance. It is sold in a package of 50. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system mechanics install this type of seal in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel-related assemblies.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial applications involving petroleum-based fluids, oils, and fuels. Its temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F makes it appropriate for a wide variety of service environments, including hydraulic lines, pump housings, valve bodies, and fittings where a reliable static or dynamic face seal is required. It meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards, making it acceptable for both general trade and specification-driven work.
Compatible with petroleum products, oils, fuels, and hydraulic fluids. Not recommended for use with ozone-generating environments, direct sunlight exposure, or applications requiring FDA-compliant materials. Designed for use in standard Dash 239 O-ring grooves per industry groove specifications.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or hydraulic system mechanics during equipment service or assembly. Always depressurize and drain the system before replacing any O-ring seal. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or O-ring lubricant before installation to prevent rolling or damage during seating. Do not store unused O-rings in direct sunlight or near motors or other electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as this degrades the rubber compound.
