The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70206 is a Dash 206 Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR/Buna-N) O-ring used to create static and dynamic fluid seals in hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and HVAC systems. It measures 0.5 inches inside diameter, 0.75 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick with a round cross section and a Shore A hardness of 70. Rated for service from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this O-ring is the standard choice for sealing petroleum-based fluids and general-purpose hydraulic oil. It is packaged in quantities of 100 per package, making it practical for shop stock and service van inventory.
This O-ring is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC equipment, refrigeration service, plumbing fittings, hydraulic couplings, and pneumatic assemblies wherever a Dash 206 cross-section seal is specified. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system mechanics install this part when servicing valves, fittings, pump housings, and manifold connections that contact petroleum products or water-based fluids. The Buna-N compound provides reliable compression set resistance and tear and abrasion resistance under normal service cycling.
Compatible with petroleum products and petroleum-based hydraulic fluids. Designed as a standard Dash 206 replacement O-ring for any application specifying a 0.5 inches ID by 0.75 inches OD by 0.125 inches thick NBR seal. Not FDA approved. Should not be stored in direct sunlight or near motors or other electrical equipment that may generate ozone.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or hydraulic system mechanics following applicable codes such as the IPC or equipment manufacturer service procedures. Depressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing O-rings. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or assembly lubricant before seating to prevent tearing during installation. Do not roll or twist the O-ring into the groove; seat it evenly to ensure a uniform seal.
