The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70170 is a Dash 170 O-ring manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), the most widely used elastomer in fluid sealing applications. It features a round cross-section measuring 7.75 inches inside diameter, 7.938 inches outside diameter, and 0.0937 inches thick. With a Shore A hardness of 70 and a working temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this O-ring delivers reliable sealing performance across a wide range of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical assemblies. Plumbers, pipefitters, millwrights, and maintenance technicians install this type of seal in applications where petroleum-based fluid compatibility is required.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial applications involving petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic oil systems, fuel handling equipment, and general industrial fluid conveyance. Its Buna-N compound provides excellent resistance to petroleum products along with good compression set resistance and strong tear and abrasion resistance. It meets SAE and MIL-Spec standards, making it appropriate for both commercial maintenance and light industrial service environments. The package quantity is 25 pieces per unit, sold in multiples of 1 package.
Compatible with petroleum-based fluids and oils. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or maintenance-stock O-ring for Dash 170 groove specifications in hydraulic, pneumatic, and general fluid-sealing assemblies. Not compatible with ozone, direct sunlight exposure during storage, or equipment generating significant ozone such as electric motors in close proximity.
Installation is typically performed by plumbers, pipefitters, or mechanical maintenance technicians as part of seal replacement or assembly work. Shut off and depressurize the fluid system completely before removing the old O-ring or installing the new one. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or grease before seating it in the groove to prevent pinching or tearing during assembly. Do not store O-rings in direct sunlight or near motors or other equipment that may generate ozone, as this degrades the elastomer over time.
