The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70169 is a Dash 169 O-ring manufactured from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), the most widely used elastomer in sealing applications. It measures 7.5 inches inside diameter and 7.688 inches outside diameter, with a cross-sectional thickness of 0.0937 inches (3/32 inches). The round cross-section profile seats reliably in standard O-ring grooves. Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, this ring delivers strong resistance to petroleum-based fluids, good compression set characteristics, and solid tear and abrasion resistance. It is appropriate for use across HVAC, plumbing, hydraulic, and general industrial sealing tasks performed by licensed trade professionals.
This O-ring is suited for static and dynamic sealing applications where contact with petroleum products, oils, fuels, and hydraulic fluids is expected. Operating temperature range spans -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it a practical choice for a wide range of mechanical and fluid system environments. Typical installations include pump housings, valve bodies, pipe fittings, and fluid line connections in residential and light commercial systems. It should not be stored in direct sunlight or near motors and other electrical equipment that may generate ozone, as ozone exposure degrades Buna-N compounds over time.
Compatible with petroleum products, hydraulic oils, fuels, and similar mineral-based fluids. Designed as an OEM-style replacement O-ring for any application calling for a Dash 169 Buna-N seal.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or hydraulic system mechanics. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing the existing O-ring. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or grease before seating to prevent nicking or tearing during installation. Do not use petroleum-incompatible lubricants or expose the ring to ozone-generating equipment during storage or service.
