The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH70167 is a Dash 167 Buna-N (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) o-ring with a 7.0000 inch inside diameter, a 7.1880 inch outside diameter, and a 3/32 inch (0.0937 inch) round cross section. Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, this o-ring is designed for sealing applications where contact with petroleum-based fluids is expected. It carries a working temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide variety of mechanical and fluid system sealing tasks. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial service technicians install this o-ring in pumps, valves, cylinders, and pipe fittings where a reliable static or dynamic face seal is required. Each package contains 25 o-rings.
This o-ring is used in residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant circuits, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic assemblies where petroleum-based fluids or moderate-temperature service conditions are present. The Buna-N compound is the most widely used o-ring elastomer in the trade, chosen for its dependable resistance to petroleum products, oils, and fuels. It is appropriate for general-purpose sealing in pumps, valves, flanges, and equipment service ports across a broad range of applications. Technicians should confirm dimensional compatibility with the specific groove or gland before installation. This product does not carry FDA approval and is not intended for food-contact applications.
Designed as a standard Dash 167 o-ring replacement for any gland or groove machined to accommodate a 7.0000 inch inside diameter, 7.1880 inch outside diameter, 0.0937 inch cross-section seal. Compatible with petroleum products and petroleum-based fluids. Not recommended for use with ozone-generating equipment or prolonged direct sunlight exposure.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial maintenance technicians. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing the old o-ring and installing the replacement. Lightly lubricate the o-ring with a compatible fluid or grease before seating it in the gland to prevent tearing during assembly. Do not store unused o-rings near motors, electrical equipment, or in direct sunlight, as ozone and UV exposure degrade Buna-N compounds over time.
