The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCH1X4 is a round-cross-section O-ring manufactured from Buna-N (nitrile butadiene rubber), one of the most widely used elastomers in fluid sealing applications. It measures 4 inches inner diameter by 6 inches outer diameter with a 1 inch cross-section thickness and a Shore A hardness of 70. The black Buna-N compound delivers excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, strong compression set performance, and solid tear and abrasion resistance. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals install this O-ring in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling systems where reliable static or dynamic sealing is required.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial applications involving petroleum-based fluids, oils, fuels, and hydraulic media. The Buna-N compound performs across a wide service temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it appropriate for year-round use in both indoor mechanical rooms and outdoor equipment. It is sold in a package quantity of 100 units, making it a practical choice for contractors stocking shop inventory or servicing multiple units on a job site. It does not carry FDA approval and should not be substituted in food-contact or medical-grade sealing applications.
Compatible with petroleum products, oils, fuels, and hydraulic fluids. Designed as a standard Buna-N O-ring replacement for hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling assemblies requiring a 4 inch ID round-cross-section seal. Not recommended for use with ozone-generating equipment, direct sunlight exposure during storage, or applications requiring FDA-compliant materials.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial maintenance mechanics as part of pump, valve, or fitting service. Before installing, ensure the mating groove is clean, free of debris, and dimensionally correct for the O-ring cross section. Apply a compatible lubricant to the O-ring before seating to prevent twisting or pinching during assembly. De-energize and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any sealing components.
