The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCFS226 is a Dash 226 fluorosilicone O-ring with a round cross section, designed for static and dynamic sealing applications where both extreme temperature resistance and compatibility with petroleum-based fluids are required. It measures 1.984 inches inside diameter, 2.250 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick. With a hardness rating of 70 Shore A, it maintains a reliable seal across a working temperature range of -80 degrees F to 400 degrees F. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, aerospace mechanics, and fluid-systems technicians install this type of seal wherever fluorosilicone elastomer is specified.
This O-ring is well suited for fuel systems, diester-base lubricant circuits, and hydraulic assemblies requiring resistance to petroleum oils and fuels. It is commonly used in aerospace fuel system applications and in any system demanding reliable performance at both low and elevated temperatures up to 350 degrees F for diester-base lubricant service. Each package contains 2 O-rings. Its blue color allows quick visual identification in the field, distinguishing it from standard Buna-N or EPDM seals.
Compatible with petroleum products including oils and fuels. Suited for aerospace fuel system applications and systems requiring resistance to diester-base lubricants up to 350 degrees F. Note that limited strength and abrasion resistance may restrict use in high-wear dynamic sealing applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with the sealing system being serviced. Always depressurize and drain the fluid circuit before removing the old O-ring, and inspect the groove and mating surfaces for nicks or corrosion that could compromise the seal. Apply a compatible lubricant sparingly to ease installation and reduce the risk of tearing the O-ring during assembly. Avoid using sharp tools that could nick or cut the elastomer.
