The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCFS224 is a Dash 224 fluorosilicone o-ring with a round cross section, designed for static and dynamic sealing in systems that demand reliable performance across extreme temperature ranges and exposure to petroleum-based fluids. Measuring 1.734 inches inside diameter and 2 inches outside diameter with a thickness of 0.125 inches, this o-ring carries a Shore A hardness of 70 and is rated for continuous service from -80 degrees F to 400 degrees F. It is blue in color for easy material identification and meets MIL-R-25988 Type 1 Class 1 requirements. Each package contains 2 pieces.
This o-ring is well-suited for aerospace fuel system applications, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assemblies that require resistance to diester-base lubricants up to 350 degrees F. It is also used in industrial and commercial equipment where exposure to petroleum oils and fuels is routine. Due to its limited tensile strength and abrasion resistance compared to other elastomers, it is best applied in low-load sealing environments rather than high-wear dynamic interfaces. Maintenance technicians, hydraulic system specialists, and aerospace MRO personnel are the primary installers.
Compatible with petroleum products including oils and fuels. Rated for use in aerospace fuel systems and systems requiring resistance to diester-base lubricants. Due to limited strength and abrasion resistance, this o-ring is not recommended for high-load or high-abrasion dynamic sealing applications.
Install by qualified maintenance technicians or mechanical assemblers following applicable system service procedures. Depressurize and de-energize the system fully before removing any existing seals or fittings. Inspect the o-ring groove for burrs, corrosion, or debris before installation, and apply a compatible lubricant sparingly to ease seating without distorting the cross section. Do not overstretch the o-ring during installation, as fluorosilicone compounds have lower tensile strength than standard silicone or nitrile alternatives.
