The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCFS022 is a Dash 022 fluorosilicone O-ring with a round cross section, designed for static and dynamic sealing applications where exposure to petroleum-based fluids and extreme temperatures is a routine concern. It measures 0.989 inches inside diameter, 1.125 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick. With a Shore A hardness of 70, it provides firm, reliable compression under load. Fluorosilicone compound gives this seal resistance to petroleum oils, fuels, and diester-base lubricants that would degrade standard silicone or nitrile seals. Licensed HVAC technicians, aerospace maintenance technicians, and fluid-system mechanics are the primary installers of this part type.
This O-ring is suited for fuel system sealing, hydraulic circuits, and lubrication-system joints operating across a wide temperature range. It is rated for continuous service from -80 degrees F to 400 degrees F, making it appropriate for both cold-soak aerospace environments and elevated-temperature fuel or oil lines. The blue color aids visual identification during installation and inspection. It meets MIL-R-25988 Type 1 Class 1 requirements, making it appropriate for military and aerospace procurement programs as well as demanding industrial applications. Each package contains 5 O-rings.
Designed as a Dash 022 O-ring replacement for fuel systems, hydraulic circuits, and lubrication systems requiring fluorosilicone compound compatible with petroleum products and diester-base lubricants. Noted for use in aerospace fuel system applications and systems requiring resistance to diester-base lubricants to 350 degrees F. Not FDA approved; not intended for food-contact or potable-water service.
Depressurize and drain the affected fluid circuit completely before removing any fittings or plugs. Inspect the O-ring groove for burrs, corrosion, or debris and clean the seating surface before installing the new seal. Apply a light film of the system fluid or a compatible lubricant to the O-ring prior to installation to ease seating and prevent tearing during assembly. Fluorosilicone O-rings have limited abrasion and tensile strength compared to nitrile; avoid rolling or twisting the seal during installation and do not overstretch it across sharp threads.
