The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCFS018 is a fluorosilicone O-ring with a round cross section, designed for static and dynamic sealing applications where wide temperature range and fuel resistance are required. It measures 0.739 inches inside diameter, 0.875 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick. The blue fluorosilicone compound carries a Shore A hardness of 70, making it rated hard. This part is sold in a pack of 5 and is commonly installed by HVAC technicians, aerospace mechanics, and fluid system technicians working on fuel lines, hydraulic systems, and lubricant circuits.
Fluorosilicone O-rings fill a specific role where standard silicone lacks fuel resistance and standard nitrile lacks the low-temperature flexibility needed. This Dash 018 O-ring is suited for aerospace fuel systems, diester-based lubricant circuits, and petroleum oil systems that cycle between extreme cold and sustained heat. It is also used in ground support equipment, industrial fuel handling systems, and HVAC refrigerant service applications where fluorosilicone compatibility is specified. Note that due to limited tensile strength and abrasion resistance, it is not recommended for high-dynamic-load or abrasive-media applications.
Compatible with petroleum products, petroleum oils, fuels, and diester-base lubricants. Meets MIL-R-25988 TY 1 CL 1 requirements, making it suitable for aerospace fuel system and military-spec fluid circuit applications where fluorosilicone seals are called out.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with O-ring sealing systems and the applicable fluid system codes. Always depressurize and de-energize the system before removing or replacing seals. Inspect the O-ring groove for burrs, corrosion, or contamination prior to installation, and apply a compatible lubricant to ease seating without distorting the cross section. Do not stretch the O-ring excessively during installation, as fluorosilicone has lower tensile strength than nitrile or EPDM compounds.
