The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCFS014 is a Dash 014 fluorosilicone O-ring with a round cross section, designed for static and dynamic sealing applications where resistance to both extreme temperatures and petroleum-based fluids is required. The ring measures 0.5000 inches inside diameter, 0.6250 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick, with a Shore A hardness of 70. Fluorosilicone combines the flexibility of silicone across a wide temperature range with the fuel and oil resistance of fluorocarbon elastomers, making it a practical choice for demanding sealing environments. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and aerospace maintenance technicians commonly install this type of O-ring in fuel systems, hydraulic circuits, and refrigerant service fittings.
This O-ring is suited for applications requiring reliable seals in petroleum oil and fuel environments, including aerospace fuel systems and systems that expose seals to diester-base lubricants up to 350 degrees F. The fluorosilicone compound performs across a broad working temperature range of -80 degrees F to 400 degrees F, making it appropriate for both cold-climate HVAC applications and high-heat fuel system service. Sold in a package of 5 rings. Due to the limited abrasion resistance and lower tensile strength of fluorosilicone relative to HNBR or PTFE compounds, this O-ring is not recommended for high-friction dynamic applications with continuous shaft contact.
Compatible with petroleum products and diester-base lubricants. Designed for use in aerospace fuel systems and any sealing application requiring resistance to petroleum-based oils and fuels within the stated temperature range. Verify groove dimensions against 0.5000 inches ID and 0.0625 inches cross-section thickness before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician following applicable system service procedures. Depressurize and purge the system before removing existing seals. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or assembly lubricant prior to seating to prevent tearing during installation. Note that fluorosilicone has limited abrasion and tensile strength compared to other elastomers; avoid installations involving continuous sliding contact or sharp-edged grooves.
