The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70NSF222 is a Dash 222 EPDM O-ring designed for sealing applications in plumbing, hydronic, and fluid-handling systems. It measures 1.484 inches inside diameter, 1.75 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick, with a round cross section. Molded from EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber at a 70 durometer hardness rating, it provides reliable static or dynamic sealing across a wide temperature range of -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F. Plumbers, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians install this ring where chemical and thermal resistance are required.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial applications involving hot water lines, steam systems, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluids. Its EPDM compound also delivers excellent resistance to Skydrol fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems, making it a cross-industry solution for maintenance shops that service both building mechanical systems and aviation ground-support equipment. The Dash 222 designation is a standard sizing reference that aids in cross-referencing and replacement sourcing. Sold in packages of 10, it suits both single-repair and small-stock scenarios.
Compatible with hot water, steam, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluid systems. NSF 61 approval supports use in potable water applications. Suitable as a standard Dash 222 replacement O-ring in grooves machined to that nominal size specification.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified maintenance technician. Depressurize and drain the system fully before removing the old O-ring and installing the replacement. Inspect the groove for nicks or corrosion that could compromise the seal, and apply a compatible lubricant to the ring before seating to prevent tearing during assembly. Follow applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements for the system being serviced.
