The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70NSF218 is a Dash 218 EPDM O-ring with a round cross section, designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in fluid-handling systems. With a 1.234-inch inside diameter, 1.5-inch outside diameter, and 0.125-inch thickness, it fits standard Dash 218 grooves per industry dimensional standards. The compound is rated 70 durometer hardness and carries a working temperature range of -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this O-ring in hot water, steam, and phosphate ester hydraulic systems where EPDM chemical resistance is required. NSF 61 listing makes it suitable for potable water applications.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and industrial fluid-handling assemblies. It performs reliably in high-temperature steam service and in phosphate ester type hydraulic fluids. The EPDM compound also provides excellent resistance to Skydrol fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems, making it applicable in aviation ground support and MRO environments. Sold in packages of 10, it is a practical stocking item for service contractors who encounter Dash 218 groove configurations across a range of valves, fittings, and pump housings.
Dimensionally compatible with standard Dash 218 O-ring grooves. Suitable for hot water, steam, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluid systems. NSF 61 approval supports use in potable water plumbing applications.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or hydraulic system technicians. Depressurize and drain the system before replacing any O-ring, and verify the groove is clean and free of debris or damage. Lubricate the O-ring with a fluid compatible with EPDM before seating to avoid tearing during assembly. Do not overstretch the O-ring during installation, as permanent deformation will compromise the seal.
