The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70NSF214 is a Dash 214 EPDM o-ring designed for sealing applications that involve hot water, steam, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. It features a round cross section with a 0.984-inch inside diameter, a 1.25-inch outside diameter, and a 0.125-inch thickness. Rated at 70 durometer hardness, this black o-ring delivers firm compression characteristics suited to demanding fluid systems. It carries NSF 61 certification, making it appropriate for potable water service applications. Sold in a package of 10 units, it is commonly installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system technicians.
This o-ring is suited for use in residential and commercial plumbing systems, hydronic heating systems, and hydraulic fluid circuits that use phosphate ester-type fluids. It is rated for service from -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F, covering the temperature ranges typical of steam and hot water service. Its EPDM compound also provides excellent resistance to Skydrol fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems, extending its usefulness into aviation ground support and maintenance applications.
Compatible with hot water, steam, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluid systems. Also recommended for use in applications involving Skydrol fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems. NSF 61 approval extends compatibility to potable water system assemblies where that certification is required.
Installation of o-rings in pressurized fluid systems should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified hydraulic systems technician. Always depressurize and drain the system before removing any fittings or components. Inspect the seating groove for nicks, burrs, or debris before installing the replacement o-ring. Avoid overstretching the o-ring during installation, as this can reduce sealing performance and service life.
