The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70328 is a Dash 328 EPDM O-ring with a round cross section, sold in a pack of 25. It measures 1.875 inches inside diameter, 2.25 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches thick. Rated at 70 Shore A hardness, this O-ring is formulated from ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber, which provides strong resistance to hot water, steam, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. It operates across a wide temperature range, from -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding thermal environments. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system technicians are the primary installers.
This O-ring is commonly used in plumbing, HVAC, and hydraulic sealing applications where exposure to hot water or steam is expected. It is also rated for use with phosphate ester type hydraulic fluids, including Skydrol fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems. Typical install scenarios include sealing joints in water heating systems, steam distribution lines, and industrial hydraulic circuits. Each purchase includes 25 O-rings packaged together.
Compatible with hot water, steam, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluid systems. Suitable for applications involving Skydrol fluids in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems. Designed as a Dash 328 standard O-ring for use wherever that cross-section and durometer rating are specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified hydraulic systems technician, depending on the application. Always depressurize and drain the system, or relieve hydraulic pressure fully, before removing the old O-ring or installing the replacement. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for wear or damage prior to seating the new O-ring. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants with EPDM O-rings, as they can cause swelling and seal failure.
